A Treat of France is a tasty stop for fresh, well-made baguettes and great coffee, with the chicken delight particularly standing out. Busy atmosphere but solid overall. We popped in for a quick bite and were pretty happy with what we got. Food (4/5): We ordered the bacon and egg baguette and the chicken delight baguette. The bacon and egg was good but couldโve used a bit of sauce to bring it all together. The chicken delight, on the other hand, was excellent. Plenty of cheese, nice creaminess from the mayo, and just a really well-balanced baguette. We also grabbed a chai latte and it was amazing, smooth, aromatic, and easily one of the highlights. Service (4/5): Friendly and efficient. Everything came out quickly despite how busy it was. Atmosphere (3.5/5): Itโs a popular spot, so it was a bit crowded and loud when we were there. Not the most relaxing dine-in experience, but nothing out of the ordinary for a busy cafรฉ. Overall: Good baguettes, great chai, and a lively setting. Easy recommendation if youโre after a quick, tasty French-style bite.
Enjoyed the tasty spicy chicken baguette that was juicy, seasoned well and nicely toasted. The coffee was great too. Will be back for sure ๐
This is a nice place for a quick bite and coffee. Great coffee and I tried almond croissants & egg sandwich today other pastries are delicious.. their sandwiches/ paninis are always fresh and tasty!!
I really love the food here - genuinely some of the best pastries and baguettes in Melbourne. But gosh, the service really lets it down. Iโve been here quite a few times (I live next door) and Iโm mostly met with either attitude or indifference, like theyโre doing me a biiiiiiiiig favour just by taking my order. It feels so unwelcoming that Iโve stopped eating in altogether - I can only tolerate takeaway. I want to keep coming back for the food, but the vibe at the counter makes it hard.
The staff are friendly and their service is great. Chef Serkan was very nice and always smiling and welcoming the customers. The croissants were fluffy and delicious. Everything is beautiful. Thank you and I will visit again.
