A happy greeting on arrival, Menu entices the taste buds, designed for sharing plates, or feed me option. Advice on ordering quantities are best suited for large appetites. Leek & zucchini pancake, whilst tasty, was very crunchy suggesting double cooked. Spiced confit duck with lettuce cups. Very tender duck Maryland on the bone, spice and XO sauce with barely there spice, & hoisin sauce. Bone marrow is a favorite so high expectations due to its appearance on menus being rare. Our hosts advice is to ensure each bit includes some of everything on the plate, as the pickles match well with the fattiness of the marrow. The bread is croissant pieces, an odd match considering the butter content of this โbreadโ. Overall the flavours were not really friends with each other. These three dishes all included the same pickles. Crispy chicken baos, kimchi, hot sauce and mayo, to be self constructed. Chicken was tasty but again seemingly twice cooked. Dessert of farm mulberries (purรฉed) and plated mates avoided creating harmony for the taste buds. The menu is creative, and as stated, enticing, however a bumpy journey from description, to plating, to taste.
Food was amazing! Thank you to the chef! Jessieโs customer services skills were excellent! Will definitely recommend Baah Lah to our family and friends.
Amazing Asian fusion food. Very tasty and innovative. Great service too. Celebrated my sister's birthday, big group with 4 kids. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice cosy restaurant, great service and delicious food. Very accommodating staff as we ordered the experience and forgot to inform them we needed to leave at a certain time. Thank you we will be back again!
This was our first time here and we opted for the "Leave it to the house" experience. The style of serving small tasting plates staggered over a period of time worked perfect for us, and we both really enjoyed every plate that was put in front of us. I had never tried kingfish, scallops or venison previously and they were beautifully cooked and well presented. Despite it being Easter Sunday, the venue was pleasant and the atmosphere was very relaxed, and the staff on for the night were very attentive and lovely. I hope to bring some friends here in the future!
