Lovely early Dinner with a dear friend after seeing a movie at the New Farm Cinema across the road. We booked for 5.30pm and it didn’t take long for the restaurant to completely fill. Understand the Cafe is a New Farm institution for European style dining over many years (to me there’s a real French bistro feeling in décor and food). Service was friendly, atmosphere absolutely buzzing, food delicious, and bathroom within the restaurant (no having to grab a key to access here, a nice change with so many venues these days having facilities which are a walk away). My friend and I only catch up intermittently, living as we do in different cities, and Continental Cafe was a perfect place for our latest get-together. I’d love to return.

Deserves no less than this. From the delightful cuisine prepared by an excellent back of house to the front of house staff serving just perfect. Thank you for a great brother and nephew get together. We will see you again.

New Farm’s secret gourmet hideout! Food is amazing, and one cannot forget the Tarte Tatin, it’s just delectable! Service is always so welcoming and warm, and there is absolutely no judgment if you want to share food or have three plates to yourself! ❤️

Continental cafe french bistro in Newfarm for a winter lunch . Soufflé is amazing, I ought of thought differently about ordering gazpacho as it’s a cold soup , and winter however the tastes were yummy . Risotto is to sublime . Service was excellent five stars 🌟. Parking side streets was easy as mid week . Decor is quaint and relaxed. Definitely will be back

Had an amazing dinner here for our anniversary. Food was excellent wand service was great. Ambiance was lacking, I felt decoration was a bit bland but the food definitely made up for it. Looking forward to going back and trying their other dishes.
