Embodies all the best things about French cuisine in a neighbourhood gem restaurant. We had a party of 10 adult family members to celebrate a milestone birthday, and it was perfect. The food was authentic and excellent at a reasonable price with good selection. Wine list was very enticing and the bottles we tried were all impressive and not overpriced. Parking and access was so much easier than going to a CBD. The noise level was also very low, which was important for a matriarch with hearing aids. Overall, a flawless venue for our celebration.

La chouette (aka the owl) is a quaint little place. We found this little gem on the internet. It’s hard to find good French cuisine that’s not in the city. Loved the scallops, escargot, beef fillet and the soufflé!

Our favourite french restaurant in the inner west, a lovely romantic spot in an old cottage. Have been there twice and the food is outstanding and transports you to France. The host, who is french, is so welcoming and completes a memorable experience.

This French restaurant should be more famous as the food is not only top-notch but reasonably priced. Wine lists are well selected and will perfectly matched with your food. Staffs are friendly and understand the food. My most favourite dish is rack of lamb which is freshly cooked and the sauce is amazing, softly melted with the meat. Also making sure to save room for desserts. The banana soufflé is superb 💯. My family had a good time enjoying French cuisine in La Chouette. Thanks for having my us! We will come back 🫶
