A FishLane ๐Ÿ’Ž Gem of a find. La Lune Wine C is a little bit Melbourne meets so Fremchy so sheekโ€ฆ.(we just need the chilly weather to ๐Ÿ’ฏ compliment the Red Wine delights) Stunning array of Old and New world wines, with a subtle yet super tasty food selection. Olives and potato and chorizo dish photographed. Intimate dining for solo (like me tonight) duo or larger groups. A wine shop is also adjoined to the facility. Gold 5 stars kiddoโ€™s, keep up the sleek and sheek work ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿค๐Ÿพ

La Lune Wine Co, tucked away in Fish Lane, South Brisbane, has been on my must-try list for ages after seeing all the incredible meals a friend of mine has enjoyed here. I finally managed to score a last-minute booking at the bar, which suited me just fine. First impressions are dark and moody, with candles everywhere and wax dripping down the sides, the perfect ambience. Sitting at the bar is a great choice, allowing you to watch the team carefully select and pour wines throughout the night. La Lune is very much a wine bar first, and wow, do the wines shine. Thereโ€™s an extensive wine list available by the bottle and glass, plus a rotating board of wines poured by Coravin. Service was excellent across the board, with a special mention to Bailee, who was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. We kicked things off with a glass of Andre Clouet Grand Reserve Brut, paired with snacks including a barley crumpet with beetroot and horseradish. This dish was surprisingly complex, the beetroot had an incredible natural sweetness, while the barley crumpet had a satisfying chew. We also tried the raw fish with shallot, chilli and coconut, which was light and refreshing, with gentle hits of chilli and lemongrass that paired beautifully with the champagne. For mains, we moved onto a glass of Burn Cottage Pinot Noir, alongside the roasted duck breast with swede, confit pie and blackberries, plus a side of Kipfler potatoes with chorizo. The Pinot was silky and dangerously easy to drink, complementing the duck perfectly. The duck itself was cooked to perfection, and the confit pie elevated the dish to something truly special. The attention to detail coming from the kitchen is outstanding. The Kipflers were well-seasoned, with the chorizo adding just the right amount of richness. Naturally, we had to see how La Lune does a cheese board, enjoyed with a glass of Aphelion Confluence Grenache, absolutely delicious and a perfect match. The star of the evening, however, was dessert: a pineapple tarte Tatin with vanilla cream, paired with a glass of Chรขteau Lapinesse Sauternes. The tart was hot and crisp, with gooey caramel sticking to your teeth and pineapple cooked to perfection. It was an unforgettable end to the meal and a dessert Iโ€™m still thinking about. With a wine and food menu that changes very regularly, I canโ€™t wait to return and explore more of the incredible drops and beautifully crafted dishes from this amazing team.

Truly excellent food. Service was...selective, and a bit mercurial. The tasting recommendations were mostly a miss and I didn't like that my glass was rinsed and reused for different wines. I got the distinct impression from one staff member that I wasn't welcome, but this wasn't the case with other staff and it didn't ruin the evening.

this will not be my last visit!! first class service and food, with a very lovely wine list to boot!! Thoroughly enjoyed the Barley crumpet, mussels, saffron mayo, sea herbs - this was so full of flavour However, this dish - Roo tartare, eggplant, dukkha, fermented chilli - totally nailed it, wanted to lick my plate and have another 5! ๐Ÿ˜Š all this was followed by Lemon tart, crรจme fraiche, love how they "brulee'd" the top of the tart. Can't wait for the next visit ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

One of my all time favourite meals, granted also the most expensive meal Iโ€™ve had in this country, but no doubt at all it was worth it. The wine was all unique, most was eye opening and appreciable at every sip. All of the food was wonderful, some of the items on the set menu were stopping, that salmon and peach was sensational. Service faultless, ambience fine, loved the playlist. Take me back, please.
