I was looking forward to having some French dishes😋 I was a bit worried that some dishes might already sold out😓 They will have a long holiday…. Oh no, they did't have Escargots (Snails in Cocotte)😭 That's a shame 😣 So I had 1/2 Baguette and Confit de Canard (Souse Vide Duck Leg Cooked for 9 hours). It was not that long a wait for service 😊 Baguette tested quite good 😚👍🏻 The duck was juicy and very tender🥳 And the sauce was nice too. Both sides were lukewarm😣 It was a bit windy that’s why?😅 The black pepper was empty so I asked to refill it but the waitress gave me a white pepper one????😅 I didn't think they were the same😂 It's a bit disappointing… I would like to try their Buckwheat Crepe / Galette Complete. I would like to be happy with that dish next time🥰

Absolutely Delightful French Café / Restaurant. Located on the corner of Cronulla Avenue and Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach. Offering, Indoor and Outside Dining Options. Beautiful Décor inside. Received Very Friendly and Welcoming Service. Has a Well thought out Menu. With lots of Traditional French Favourites. Had the Escargot. Which was Perfectly Prepared in a Garlic Butter Sauce. Accompanied with Bacon and Mushrooms and a Baguette. Fabulous Value for Money.

Had French omelette which was okay, nothing special, their coffee is not good. Baquette is delicious. If you come over here go with something has a Baquette in it such as sandwich. Staff who brought my food was having a bad day I guess, she wasnt friendly or welcoming for a waitress. Love the garden which was comfygor my dog. I can just come back for outdoor seating and baquette.

September 2025 It was my first visit to La Café Gourmand, and I absolutely loved it! The café is nicely set up and decorated, with comfortably appointed sitting areas. The service was amazing, and the food was delicious with great quality. It will definitely go on my favorite list of cafés at Gold Coast. Thank you!

My favourite cafe on the Gold Coast!! The staff are always so sweet and the barista remembered my name and order after visiting once 🥹 The food is always delicious, my favourites are the savoury crepe and breakfast croissant burger! Their matcha is also really yummy and I actually love the forest matcha (matcha with a shot of espresso) too. The vibes are great and I’ve spent many days studying there for hours without ever feeling like I’m loitering. Highly recommend visiting!!!
