Sublime modern mediterranean cuisine, engaging professional service, and a casually elegant decor and vibe with sophisticated artistic touches. A shout out to our waitress โJesseโ who was charming and nailed all her suggestions so well. The whole floor and kitchen crew ran like a well oiled machine taking the right amount of time and care with a sense of calm and genuine enjoyment. We highly rate the Moreton Bay bugs, duck ravioli, cowra lamb, fish of the day (Snapper) and any dessert. We have dined in many fine establishments here and overseas and rate this very highly for bringing together all the key elements required for a fabulous dining experience. We are certainly coming back here. Well done Team Pomegranate!!
First visit to Pomegranate and we will definitely be back. Every dish that the three of us ordered was absolutely delicious. Accompanied by attentive and friendly service.
We tried Degustation with wine pairing. All the food was good( including octopus we added), just the duck lacked in flavour. Service was great. The lady was very attentive and sheโs got a good sense of humour as well. The desert was jsut divine
The chef really put the efforts to every dish !! Recommend duck ravioli, octopus and tiramisu!! I wish The twice cooked potato could be crispier ๐
Went to Pomegranate Canberra for a birthday dinner, but the service fell short. We ordered the set dinner for three. I asked to swap two desserts by adding $1 of each (based on the price different on the menu), and the waitress replied' yes, you just pay the difference'. However, when desserts arrived, senior staff member then told us the set menu dessert value was $10, and we needed to pay $10 extra each for the changes. Although this conflicted with what the first waitress said, I agreed to pay to avoid further issue. But minutes later, the waitress (did the order) returned to re-explain the situation, contradict herself, and seemed pressured by the other staff. She also implied I had been given a special favour and acted frustrated when I pointed out the original miscommunication 'adding $1'. This final interaction made the situation unnecessarily stressful. Food was ok, but for the price point, Iโd recommend Louis or Vincent over Pomegranate. If the team is short-staffed, I suggest hiring more rather than rushing and confusing customers.
