My husband and I came to celebrate our 1 month wedding anniversary at Rafi, and weโre so glad we did! Our waiter, Abigail, was super attentive and lovely. 10/10 to her! We ordered way too much food and we wish we couldโve tried more. Definitely try the scallops and the pork chop!! Weโll definitely be back soon ๐คค
First of all, GET THE TUNA. RAFI is not just a restaurant, it is a whole mood. A bright glassy little world in North Sydney where cocktails sparkle, vegetables have personality and the lighting makes everyone look interesting. It feels less like dining and more like stepping into a coastal greenhouse designed by someone with impeccable taste. Light bounces off every surface, and the staff are warm, polished and genuinely attentive. They know the menu inside out, talk you through ingredients like they grew them themselves, and somehow manage to be present without hovering. The menu is seasonal, clever and quietly confident. Raw fish plates, wood fired flatbreads and vegetables that taste like they have their own PR team. Fresh, layered and bright. Even the broccolini feels famous. The wine list leans natural in a fun, curated way. Elevated without ego. Beautiful without stiffness. A place made for long lunches that accidentally turn into dinner because it just feels too good to leave. RAFI does not just feed you, it quietly improves your day.
Dinned here on a Saturday evening. Nice fit out for sleepy North Sydney. We ordered the set menu. All in all the food was okay. I liked the tooth fish and zucchini. The standout for me personally was the steak. Unfortunately we weren't asked how we would like our steak cooked. I personally like it rare but the other 3 people at the table like it medium rare. The steak was nearly blue but had a great crisp and flavour. We would of reached out to the staff to have this addressed however we waited what felt like 45 minutes inbetween our entrees to the steak so we didn't have faith on the getting resolved in a timely manner.
Highly Acclaimed
