Recess was outstanding! We booked in at 6:30pm for a dinner date & were greeted by Oscar who politely showed us to our table. His professional service was friendly & helpful. We chose the Chefs Selection ($75pp) which gave us a 5 course range of different foods which were all amazing. I especially liked the yellowfin sashimi & pork belly bites! Everything on the menu is 100% gluten free which is a huge plus for my wife who is coeliac. If you’re after delicious food, 5 star service & amazing cocktails, then Recess is definitely the place to go! Highly recommend! Thanks!

Amazing food! Great that it is all GF so you dont even have to worry. Prices are reasonable. Restaurant part is quite small so it was a little bit loud. Waiters were all amazing! Will definitely be back

A fantastic array of share plates, sides and desserts. Each meal was beautifully presented with plenty of flavour and freshness. The highlights were the baked Brie, pear salad and beef cheeks. The warm brownie for dessert was sensational. Staff were very friendly, helpful, offered plenty of advice and were happy to help. For the service, quality and flavour the price point is very reasonable. Well worth a visit.

We visited Recess Bar this week and fantastic food quality and options. As a coeliac the food was safe and very well cooked. My husband isn’t coeliac and enjoyed it too. Great atmosphere, cosy and great service. Great food too and delicious

My partner and I ate here a couple of weeks ago, the food is delicious. We tried most of the shared plate dishes and enjoyed them all. The chicken melted in your mouth, kfc has nothing on this chicken. The staff are absolutely fantastic and friendly and make you feel welcome from the time you walk in. We loved the atmosphere too. It’s a great place for a feed or just a few drinks with friends before the footy or just to chill.
