Great contemporary Italian food with excellent pasta and tender, juicy wagyu. The desserts were also fantastic and a perfect way to end the meal. We arrived very late at night, yet the kitchen was still open and happy to serve us, which we truly appreciated. The staff were very helpful and welcoming — special thanks to Janet for her outstanding service. Highly recommended.

👍: Robbins Island Wagyu beef takes the cake for the best dish we had. Lovely Wagyu, meat was nicely done, and texture was awesomely good. Close seconds are the Insalata do Polpo (octopus) and Fritto Misto. 👎: Our pan fried fish was served cold. (Service recovery was a lemon sorbet AFTER we ordered our desert...)

Best oysters I’ve had in Tasmania! We had the Pasta Set for dinner and shared the oysters, buttata and salsiccia e friarielli before choosing our individual pastas - spaghetti putanesca and campanelle patate provola e pancetta (with side salad). Everything was amazing and we really enjoyed the experience!

Ordered the $95 tasting menu with the $70 wine pairing. For two courses, no wine was served at all — I had to ask staff where my pairing was. When the bill came, I noticed I had been charged twice for the pairing, which is unacceptable. Paying for a wine pairing and having to chase it — and then almost being overcharged — completely ruined the experience. Very disappointing.

I don’t usually write reviews unless something’s really bad—or really amazing—and this time, I was truly overwhelmed. The attention to detail is what sets this restaurant apart. The décor and fit-out are fantastic: subdued, romantic, and absolutely beautiful. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was excellent—generous serves, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. • Polpette di maiale – tasty, tender, and perfectly seasoned pork. • Insalata di Asparagi – a lovely mix of soft white asparagus with the crunch of almonds; perfectly balanced. • Fritto Misto – a very generous serve of fresh fish, squid, and scallops, each with a thin, crisp crumb. Excellent. • Porchetta – magnificent, again. Huge thanks to the waitstaff, the chef and kitchen crew, and to the charming owner, Lauren, who has clearly poured her passion into every detail. And then there’s the bar, the cellar, the private dining areas… I could go on. A true food lover’s paradise.
