Truly wonderful. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. I can't wait to come back again. Thank you so much to the staff for going above and beyond, especially Lucy who did so much research for me about some quite obscure requests. Nothing ever seemed like a hassle, and all the staff treated me so warmly, like an old friend. I will be recommending to many other people.

Recommended by a friend - great recommendation! Lovely spot to stay , close to everything and a beautiful pace to spend time. Beautiful heritage building with fabulous art throughout. I also note other comments re events held onsite being noisy - there was an event held whilst we were there and there was no impact to us. We could hear it when in the common areas but no impact in our room

This hotel has so many amazing attributes - location, charm, but most of all, the staff. We ran in to some trouble with an AirBnb that we had booked, and called the HJAH after 9pm on a Saturday night to see if we could book a room. Sebastian was truly amazing in helping us out. On arrival he sorted out our required 3 nights accommodation without any hassles, made sure we had something to eat, and we were able to relax for the remainder of our trip. All other front of house and bar staff we came across were also so kind and professional, it is truly the hotel's greatest attribute. The location is wonderful, and the thoughtful renovation and conservation of the hotel is truly amazing. The gym is small but sufficient, and I had it to myself each time I went there. Lots of great atmosphere - I can't wait to come back.

Perfect central location with a real historic charm. Monica at front of house was very welcoming, attentive and helpful. She went the extra mile to make our stay special. Riya at the IXL bar made some beautiful cocktails and was very hospitable. Enjoyed the very interesting art tour. Lovely hotel.

This hotel was amazing! The decor was gorgeous, there was incredible artwork everywhere. The room was so comfortable and warm. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful, best fries I've ever had!
